Golfest Tampa 2011
On February 19-20, 2011 Tampa Bay Downs hosted their first Golfest, attracting local golfers and out-of-towners to enjoy a fun-filled day for the whole family. As presenting sponsor of Golfest Tampa, the Transitions Championship made a major presence with retail products and ticket giveaways to its PGA Tour event that was to be held at Innisbrook Resort the following month.
LPGA legend Annika Sorenstam headlined on the main stage, which also featured Chuck “The Hitman” and Matt Mitchell who was 2009 North Florida PGA West Chapter Teacher of the Year. Aside from trying and buying the latest golf brands, Golfest attendees also enjoyed free golf lessons from the PGA of America-West Chapter, the Paradise Golf $25,000 putting contest, the Kids Area, on-site discounts on golf products from The Downs Golf Shop, and much more!

Golfest The Villages 2011
2011 marked the fifth year that Golfest at The Villages has hosted thousands of avid golfers! In March, Hall of Fame legends Greg Norman and Nancy Lopez headlined The Villages Healthcare System Main Stage, while presenting sponsor Century Link provided great prizes to winners at the Par 3 Challenge.
Tomberlin Golf Carts made an impressive display of showcasing their vehicles and big rig. And as always, attendees enjoyed the many on-site retail discounts, specials by the Golf Shop and product giveaways from Golfweek and various vendors.
